The 24th of November marked a momentous occasion for ASUC as we gathered at the illustrious Dilly Hotel in London for their Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Awards Ceremony. This pivotal event brought together esteemed members, key stakeholders, and industry leaders to delve into comprehensive updates on the strategic review and crucially, to elect the new executive committee.

The AGM commenced with an air of excitement to charting the course for ASUC’s future endeavors. The meeting provided a platform for an in-depth and insightful update on the ongoing strategic review. Members engaged in  discussions, exchanging ideas, and strategic insights aimed at bolstering the Association’s mission and goals.

The Position of Vice Chair was taken by Dominic Charles of Knowles Construction. Moreover, the mantle of Chair was handed over to the capable hands of Simon Haslam of Basement Force. With his strategic acumen and a profound commitment to ASUC’s values, Simon is poised to lead the Association with great determination and vision. His leadership will undoubtedly steer ASUC toward greater heights, fostering collaboration and innovation within the Association.

Amidst the formal proceedings, the ASUC Awards Ceremony added a touch of celebration and recognition to the day. The audience was treated to the comedic genius of Keith Farnan, whose engaging set added an element of levity and entertainment, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration.

The awards segment itself was a testament to the excellence and dedication prevalent within ASUC. Outstanding individuals and companies were acknowledged for their exemplary contributions to the Association and projects within the industry. Each award served as a testament to the unwavering commitment and innovative spirit driving ASUC’s success.

The convergence of industry leaders, seasoned professionals, and emerging talents at the ASUC AGM and Awards exemplified a commitment to collaborative growth and excellence. As ASUC forges ahead, guided by its new executive committee and fortified by the insights gleaned from the AGM and Awards.

We would also like to thank Shauna Greenaway from the Light House Charity for joining us at the Awards. ASUC were delighted to present a cheque of £500.00. Members also contributed on the day, which makes the grand total contribution £1265.00
